MEDITATIONS AT 37.5°C

37.5°C is both the human average body temperature and the edge of fever, the point where emotion and thought converge. This exhibition begins at that threshold (rimgaei ่‡จ็•Œ)—a state poised precariously on the border of one condition and another. Thought born before the fire is reduced to color and reserve, while repeated firings and unpredictable variations elude control. What remains is the temperature of choice—what to retain and what to release. The artist records this temperature through color and interval, through the air and silence that settle between things.

The modulations of heat and cold learned from the kiln are transposed onto canvas as the length of night, the after-scent of body temperature, and the textures of lingering and hesitation. Objects no longer submit to names. Sensation precedes meaning, and it seeps slowly toward the viewer’s quiet.

Two objects placed side by side stand as the residue of painting, the trace of thought, and the memory of temperature. For the artist, the threshold of 37.5°C signifies the moment where the ordinary and the extraordinary, the everyday and the urgent, life and reflection intersect. It is here that each viewer, reading light with their own body heat, encounters a stillness of their own within the finest of differences.
